James Acaster, Kettering’s finest export, embarks on an extensive UK tour starting tomorrow, Friday 25th January. He’ll be taking his Fosters award nominated second solo show ‘Prompt’. Commencing at Exeter’s The Bike Shed to every nook and cranny of the UK right up until the 29th March at The Lowry Studio in Salford Quays. Acaster prepares to have everyone laughing over 15 dates, including three nights at The Soho Theatre from 31st January to 2nd February. What to expect? He’ll be sharing his unique thoughts  on bread research, the Kettering football chant, the Loch Ness Monster and stealing wooden ducks…

James stepped into his brilliant comedy career in January 2008 and has since emerged as an engaging and exciting comedian. His first debut show ‘Amongst Other Things’ was an adeptly blended mixture of narratives and dynamic audience interaction selling out during the entire month in Edinburgh, where it garnered rave reviews.

In 2009 James went on to perform in a sell out three-hander show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with peers Josh Widdicombe and Nick Helm.  Not content with this, he took home the 2010 Off The Kerb’s ‘Laughing Boy’ New Act, whilst finishing as runner up in the Latitude Festival New Act Competition just a month later in front of a crowd of 4,000.

James has also been invited to support for a number of top acts, supporting Josie Long on a national tour in 2010 whilst he was seen sharing the stage with Milton Jones on his UK tour for the best part of 2011. His recent television credits include Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC THREE), Dave’s One Night Stand, Chris Addison’s Show and Tell (E4) and Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central).

All tour dates can be found below.
