The long-range John Dredge show in store this week comes from a burgon dispensing plant in, you guessed it, Frinton. The show includes amazing adventures involving artichokes and a special mention of New Malden for die-dard fans of New Malden.
This week Comedy Chords is proud to feature an all new podcast The Living Room Sessions, in association with The Stand Comedy Club, bringing you chat, reviews and discussions presented by three Stand regulars; Gus Lymburn, Gareth Waugh & Keir McAllister.
After a short respite, podcaster extraordinaire John Dredge does a Marty McFly as we couldn’t leave you empty handed. If you haven’t already hopped into the DeLorean with John here’s the very first episode of The John Dredge Nothing To Do With Anything Show.
Todays bumper edition features Frinton TV’s Twig Harper presenting the first of a brief 200-part series one thing of another. Hard to specify really.
We’re also proud to post the first ever radio appearance of an alarm clock with a tuba nailed to the side, whilst a Dalek will put in an appearance as himself.
Ever wonder how to act should a bowler hat be catapulted as you from a cannon? This podcast is for you.
All this and a genuine policeman in this selection of audio accoutrements, all presented by string consultant and tuner of banjos to the Royal Family, Mr. John Dredge…
John Dredge has been providing readers (and listeners) of Comedy Chords with his insane take on the world via the zany comedy podcast series ‘John Dredge’s Nothing To Do With Anything Show’. This bizarre blend of weird skits, surreal spoofs and frighteningly fractured features has already been compared to the likes of The Mighty Boosh and Kenny Everett, featuring as Radio Times podcast of the week and praised by the both Chortle, Metro and erm, Comedy Chords.
Lo and behold, sadly we have reached the climax of the latest series of zany audio raves from John Dredge and his heavily-coerced outfit made up of James Shakeshaft, Richard Cray, Greg Haiste, and Anna Emerson. What a ride it’s been with the podcast praised by the likes of the Radio Times (see above) and Chortle stating it’s what “Kenny Everett would be doing if he was alive today.”
There’s no time to fret though as they leave the building in fine style with the latest in extra-terrestrial specimens putting in a guest appearace and all this for the price of a single Green Shield stamp.
There’s also a suprise appearance from none other than David Lynch. (Oh, damn – I’ve just gone and spoilt it.)
Fear not though, this is by no means the end of John Dredge’s manic fifteen minute show. Word has it there’ll be more shennanigans in the very near future and we’ve still got series one to keep you going until then. Also, watch this space as we’ll be asking John just what’s in store right round the corner.
John Dredge bids farewell to 2012 in this weeks podcast. It was also known as the Chinese Year of the Accoutrement, with yet another one of those bizarre New Year round-ups of the year’s most shocking household implements.
This week also features odd noises of all shapes and sizes, plus an argy-bargy of aquatic treasures including the sound of an extremely large splash, courtesy of our friends at Thames Water.
If these soundscapes weren’t enough we’ve even got Leighton Buzzard in Color – whoopee!
Appearances are also made by Richard Cray, Anna Emerson, Greg Haiste, and James Shakeshaft.
SPECIAL GOOD NEWS FROM JOHN THIS WEEK. The Radio Times has only gone and chosen the Nothing to do With Anything Show as podcast of the week. Read all about it in this week’s issue, out today!
The ever pervasive John Dredge makes a welcome return again this week – or does he? Some say he’s never been away – but you’d better have a listen just to be certain.
Anyone listening in from New Malden should take note that the roadshow team made up of all of one is also in the area, so be sure to keep well out of her way and let her pass along Coombe Road unhindered.
That’s not all this week: Who’s behind the cartoon door? Could it be Lord Hailsham? Or is it Richard Cray, Mark Davison, Anna Emerson, Greg Haiste, and James Shakeshaft? It too hard to tell in these lighting conditions.
John has also recently started blogging for The Huffington Post.
We hope you’ve enjoyed John Dredge’s zany podcast so far and we’re proud to present the third episode. this time John Dredge invites his crack team of announcers to reveal what’s in store in this announcer-packed programme, with every single announcement lovingly frosted with audio glucose.
Agricultural song stylist Farmer Collins makes a welcome return, for some reason, and then there the odd other thing here and there.
Today’s tagline is “If you’d like to swap this podcast for a game of Ker-plunk with half the accessories missing, give Noel (pictured above) a call on 01-811-8055. Otherwise: biscuits!”
This week’s podcasts also features appearances from Richard Cray, Anna Emerson, Greg Haiste, and James Shakeshaft.
Another week, another episode of John Dredge’s Nothing To Do With Anything Show. This week none other than sideboards are the hot topic whilst there’s cubes a-plenty when Reigate comes into the picture – although not everything is as it seem (observe the conundrum as our theme tune is marched directly out of the studio).
Expect pop personalities and phone-ins galore as it’s time to grab your armchairs and prepare for further instructions / know-how.
Also this week, Trip Advisor‘s Peter Pilbeam suggests where you should be heading…but not why, sadly.
The podcast features John Dredge, Richard Cray, Anna Emerson, Greg Haiste, and James Shakeshaft.
